The Portraitbooth Artists was born from a simple yet powerful idea: to bring human connection back into the center of art.

It all started with Juanita Villegas, a portrait artist who has always been fascinated by the beauty of people and the stories behind their faces.

While selling her portraits in the streets of Miami, Juanita noticed how every drawing sparked genuine conversations and emotions, people weren’t just buying art, they were feeling seen.

That experience inspired her to open Portraitbooth, a small space where other artists could also come, create, and connect with people through live portraits.

What began as one artist and a few drawings quickly grew into a collective of talented live illustrators across the U.S.

Today, Portraitbooth brings that same spirit of connection to events, transforming weddings, brands, and celebrations into unforgettable experiences. Each guest takes home more than just a keepsake, they take home a moment of being truly present, captured through art.
